The exhibition shows three-dimensional reproductions of diseased parts of the body in the form of wax Moulagen made in Zurich. The special technique of Moulagen production delivers fascinating real-looking results in body size.

Today, the collection serves as a teaching collection for medical students. Information in the display cases of the permanent and special exhibition explains additional meanings that the Moulagen have received throughout history.

Moulagen are still not being replaced by digital media. On the contrary, the real wax objects of teaching and research moves the viewer in a unique way. Experience in the Moulagenmuseum how modern computer technology helps to preserve valuable historical documents.
